Python2.6からはkqueueが使える？

■python2.6からはepoll、kqueueが使える – def __mopemope__(self, *args, **kwargs):

こんな記事があったのだが、使えない。
ipythonの補完機能でも、
from select import [tab]
としてもkqueueは見当たらない。
epollはあるんだけどなぁ・・・なぜ？
Ubuntuだからとか？そんなわけないよなぁ。
